Atom Netbook - Which Asus Model to Get?

First step on the road of becoming a netbook owner is choosing if they're for you, the second is always picking the actual model. If you have no idea about Asus as a manufacturer, you should read this report to see what models they make and why it's suggested to pick one from their portfolio.

Netbooks are made for ultra-portable use, with battery life values fluctuating from 6 to 14 hours you can expect them to be ready at any time you chose to browse the net, watch a video or get some work done. Asus has been development them for three years now so they have some perceive in putting mini notebooks together, here are some models they make.

Asus Netbook

1005Ha

There are at least three different major variations of this model, they're great by a dash and one or more additional letters. The one with a 10 hours battery is called 1005Ha-H, and is installed with N280 Intel Atom processor and a slick screen. If you don't like this sort of screen you should take a look at 1005Ha-M, the one with 8.5 battery life, N270 processor and matte screen.

Asus 1005Ha-E has a 4 hours battery but otherwise the same hardware setup, so if you were looking for a netbook for around 0, you've found it. It's strongly suggested to pick one with longer battery though, there is nothing more frustrating that running out of juice just before finishing the work.

1005Pe

The case is similar to that of the 1005Ha model line, several letters to remember and differences in battery life. Asus 1005Pe-P comes with an staggering 14 hours battery, 1005Pe-M isn't too shabby either with its 11 hours of staggering battery performance. They're a tad higher in price than 1005Has, and the actual processor speed and graphical carrying out is not any better, but the extra cordless productivity may worth the extra cash. Pe-P and Pe-M cost around 0 and 0 respectively at an mean online retailer. Walking in to a shop may add 5-10% on top of that amount.

1001

There used to be 1001Ha, with the same interiors as 1005Ha and a new outfit, which I like over the slick plastic used in 1005. It kind of looks like carbon fiber and by all means; of course feels best than that. This model is now discontinued but there may be some pieces on stock you can get. The one that takes its place is the reskinned version of 1005Pe's called 1001P.

I would get any of them if I didn't have an 1005Ha already. For the added battery life I don't want to go through selling it and buying a 1005Pe, but for a new owner it's a in fact good netbook to get.
