I really do not enjoy that Asus has decided on the layout of SATA ports. You have reached the end of the board, so you want to be to ensure that you have enough cable to connect your hard disk. Back to the BIOS update comment you should be able to update the BIOS beforeStarting the installation of each processor. This is good if you plan to enter a sort of AM3 processor. I do not, but apparently there is a possibility to do so.

What is very cool with this motherboard is that I have started the trouble of formatting my hard drive and went to Windows until after I built the computer. It 'good to be loaded only a window without a problem. Is not it great? I would not recommend anyone does the same, however.
